He started his career as an artist in Bijolia (Bhilwara) in 1977 and later joined B. G. Sharma Art Gallery in the year 1989 under the mentorship of Shri B. G. Sharma himself. Shri Gopal stood out as an exemplary student and made a mark for himself in Miniature style, Oil painting, Pichwai and portrait painting. He served as the trainer for Indian Encounters organised by Jharokha India in 2001. He has also exhibited his paintings at the Shilpgram Mahotsava in December, 2003 and Bagore ki Haveli in April, 2003 where his work was admired by tourists around the globe. He was recently awarded by the Lokjan Sansthan, Udaipur for his marvellous art work and contribution in the field of traditional art. With a vast experience of 45 years in traditional paintings, Mr. Gopal is now serving as the Master trainer at B.G. Sharma studio arts. His work style depicts his devotion towards traditional style of painting and hid determination to keep this art form alive in its organic form
